The Cypress Health Region has added one more full time permanent physician to the team of health care providers at the Primary Health Care Medical Clinic in Maple Creek.

Dr. Kofi Amu-Darko, who had resigned from the Leader Hospital in Feb. of this year to pursue other career options, has now been recruited to the Maple Creek facility.

Amu-Darko has an extensive, 20-year background in medicine and has been practicing in medical clinics in Newfoundland and Saskatchewan for the past four years.

“We are very pleased to have Dr. Amu-Darko return to the Region,” said Grant Browne, Medical Affairs Coordinator for the Cypress Health Region. “His experience in working in a primary health care setting will be a huge asset. Also, his interest in the latest technologies such as Telehealth and electronic medical records will certainly help with our regional implementation.”

Beginning in early August, Dr. Amu-Darko will join colleagues Dr. Govender, Dr. Mudingayi, Dr. Radevski, Nurse Practitioner Dawn Kalinowski and office staff at the Primary Health Care clinic.
