November 17 was a special day for long-serving staff members of the Cypress Health Region who were recognized at a Service Recognition Gala held at the Sky Centre.
The honoured guests included staff members of Cypress Health in Cabri, Consul, Eastend, Gull Lake, Herbert, Leader, Mankota, Maple Creek, Ponteix, Shaunavon, and Swift Current.
The formal program and banquet celebrated the Region’s 101 staff members who had reached five-year service plateaus ranging from 15 to 40 years of continuous service. A total of 303 staff members will be recognized in 2011 for continuous service of five years or more.
“The Service Recognition Gala is a small measure to extend our appreciation to these 101 individuals who have reached years of service plateaus of 15 years and beyond,” said Beth Vachon, Cypress Health’s Chief Executive Officer. “Their dedication to the patients and families they serve is acknowledged and tremendously appreciated.
“The residents of our health region are so very fortunate to have such a caring team of health providers looking after them in their time of need.”
There are more than 1,600 Cypress team members who also deserve daily recognition for the service they provide, Vachon noted. “We are proud of each and every one of them for their commitment to quality care.”
Members of the Cypress Regional Health Authority Board and the region’s Senior Leadership Team participated in the program and awards presentations. Staff members who achieved a milestone were also the recipients of special gifts on behalf of the health region.
