Christmas with Rita MacNeil and von Trapp children at Sky Centre

One of Canada’s best loved singers, Rita MacNeil, will launch her Christmas concert tour in Swift Current Nov 19 at 3 p.m. at the Sky Centre, with the world famous von Trapp children joining her.

The von Trapp children, the real great-grandchildren of Maria and Captain von Trapp portrayed in the much loved movie The Sound of Music, have toured the world, sharing the songs and history of their famous family.

The program will be a blend of original and traditional songs, sung with the spirit and passion that define the season. Over the years, Rita’s seasonal CDs – Now The Bells Ring, Once Upon A Christmas, Joyful Sounds and Late December - have sold more than half a million copies.

Christmas with Rita MacNeil and the von Trapp Children will be an evening of music and memories for the whole family to enjoy and a wonderful way to celebrate the season in song and spirit.
