Green Party of Saskatchewan leader Victor Lau would like to see Saskatchewan highways improved through the establishment of a crown corporation to be called SaskRoads.

In a campaign announcement on Wednesday, Lau notes that Crown Corporations have served the people of Saskatchewan very well in the past, so a new crown would be a natural fit for fixing and maintaining provincial roadways.

“Everyone in Saskatchewan continues to benefit from a higher standard of living because of the excellent service that our Crowns provide us. Therefore it makes sense to create a new Crown Corporation whose purpose is to fix and maintain Saskatchewan Highways.”

SaskRoads would also provide employment opportunities for thousands of people across Saskatchewan.
