New Year's Baby arrives in Southwest

Tasha and Ryan Service from Gull Lake welcomed Tessa Delee Service into the world at 3:40 a.m. on January 1 while delivering the Cypress Regional Hospital's 2011 New Year's Baby.

The Cypress Regional Hospital did not have a long wait to welcome Swift Current's 2011 New Year's Baby.

The hospital's first baby of 2011 arrived at 3:40 a.m. when Tessa Delee Service was delivered by Tasha and Ryan Service just 220 minutes into the new year. It is the third child for the Gull Lake couple, with the baby weighing in at 8 lbs, 4 oz.

The baby arrived on schedule right on the predicted January 1 due date.
