The five musicians comprising the newly formed Lady And The Tramps will be having a debut concert for a cause on May 31.

The group is performing a fundraising concert for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #56 in Swift Current in support of their Renew, Restore and Save the Legion Hall fundraising effort.

Comprised of Justin Fehr, Jamie Fortney, Erin Oman, Brent Patoine and Gord Cave, the Light Up The Legion concert will be a chance for local music lovers to enjoy some live entertainment and support a good cause.

"We've been doing lots and lots of work during rehearsals. We've got about 25 to 30 songs we've learned in about four weeks," admitted group member Justin Fehr.

As members of other groups in the past, all of the local musicians have enjoyed helping out their community in whatever way they can.

"We always like to help out our community. Someone came to us with a chance with the opportunity to play our first show for a benefit like this, so we jumped all over it."

"Every last dime goes to them, so whatever we can do to help them out that's perfect."

Doors open at the May 31 concert at 6:30 p.m., and advance tickets only are available at Pharmasave.

Fehr notes that people can expect to hear a lot of familiar music during the evening.

"A wide variety of music, lots of Pop, lots of Classic Rock… and an all out fun time," he said.
