Tony Hill from Wiseton has a bit of a mystery on his hands regarding a delivery van utilized by the Pioneer Coop in the 50s or early 60s.

As a class car enthusiast, Hill began collecting old English vehicles over two decades ago. One of his acquisitions is a 1953 Morris J Type van used as delivery service at the Pioneer Coop in the 50s and early 60s.

Hill points out that 47,000 of these Morris vans were built from 1949 to 1963 with various upgrades during the production run. Of these, there are eight known left hand drive versions remaining.

Hill would like to find some history on this local van, and is hoping a family member of someone who drove the van would be able to help provide him details or some archived pictures or possible stories about the van.

"The van will soon be up and running mechanically and I would like to restore her to her former glory as a Delivery Van at the Pioneer Coop with new paint and sign writing etc," Hill said.

Hill is asking for anyone with information about the van to contact him at 306-357-4827.
