Swift Current's Robert Heinrichs has been elected to served as the Vice President of Law Society of Saskatchewan for the upcoming 2014 term.
Heinrichs earned the Vice President nod while Lloydminster's Miguel Martinez was elected President during the Law Society's November Convention.
Heinrichs is a partner with the Forrester Heinrichs law firm in Swift Current. Heinrichs maintains a general practice with an emphasis on corporate/commercial law, agriculture law, real estate and wills/trusts and estates. He became a Bencher of the Law Society of Saskatchewan in 2010 and has served primarily on the Discipline, Professional Standards and Access to Legal Services committees.
The Law Society of Saskatchewan regulates the legal profession which consists of over 1,700 lawyers actively practicing law in the province. It sets and enforces standards for the admission, competency and professional conduct of its members. The Society is governed by 23 Benchers, including individuals who are not lawyers.
