The Great Plains College Scholarship Fund is a little deeper thanks to an $11,802 donation from the annual Bill Lee and Family Par 3 Charity Golf Tournament. With matching funds from the provincial government’s Saskatchewan Innovation and Opportunity Scholarship program, the total impact of Bill’s donation will be over $23,600.

Bill Lee and his family have been making contributions to organizations for the past 17 years and generously chose Great Plains College as the recipient of the proceeds from this year’s tournament.

“We greatly appreciate the support and generosity of Bill and his family, our volunteers and all those who came out to enjoy a perfect day of golf and support Bill’s tournament,” said college Director of Development Marc Butikofer. “Accessibility is the pillar of our scholarship program and we thank everyone who shares our vision of keeping post-secondary education accessible to as many students as possible.”

This year’s tournament attracted nearly 100 golfers and was held Aug. 23 at Elmwood Golf and Country Club.
