Auditions will soon be held for the City’s Centennial Extravaganza and organizers are hoping to attract a wide range of people from all age categories, both male and female, to perform in what will be the kick-off to the City’s yearlong celebrations.

An artistic spectacle that will chronicle the City’s 100 year history, the event will include opportunities for those interested in drama with both speaking and non-speaking roles, as well as movement and dance pieces throughout the live production.

“This is an open casting call to anyone and everyone in the City who would like to be a part of this event,” says organizer Erin Gehl. “We want this show to reflect all of Swift Current’s citizens and encourage everyone who has ever dreamed of being a part of a show like this to come out and join in the fun. Experience is not necessary.”

The open casting call will be held Sept. 16th at the Palliser Pavilion from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and all who are interested in being a part of the City’s Centennial celebration are encouraged to attend. For more information please contact Erin Gehl at 306-741-1909, or visit the Centennial website at www.CitySC100.ca.
