Sears Appliance store is keeping its well-known satisfaction guarantee products but is changing the owners.
Over 40 years of serving Sears Association, 11 years at this current location Wayne Gelowitz and wife Agnes will be retiring from the business.
"Over the last 11 years I have served and met some amazing people. It will be hard to walk away but the store is going to be in good hands."
Darren Rutt new owner of Sears in Swift Current is relatively new to Sears after moving from Drayton Valley.
"I am excited to be here in Swift Current. It seems like a great city and I look forward to serving all new and old customers."
Even though Sears is now under new management it will still offer a full line of major appliances.
"The store offers a full line of major appliances, a broad selection of national brand home electronics, and a range of floor-care products, sewing products, and outdoor equipment including Craftsman tractors, snow blowers, lawn mowers, fitness products and now mattresses," explained Rutt.
Rutt also added that Kenmore is Canada's top selling appliance line.
The dealer store is locally owned, but all merchandise sold is supported by Sears guarantee of satisfaction.
"As you've come to expect everything is back by the Sears national guarantee and service."
"Most importantly with a new owner, you'll have a more personal commitment to customer satisfaction, our guaranteed low price, and very friendly service."
Rutt also said with new businesses coming to Swift Current they want people and customers to know Sears will always guarantee great quality products.
"We didn't want to own the biggest store in town... or the smallest...just the best."
"At Sears we are big enough to have what you want, but small enough to care who you are."
Wayne and Agnes Gelowitz thank all their loyal customers who have supported them in the last 11 years. They wish Darren and Corrine good luck in the future and hope to keep in touch with friends they have meet over the years.
"Agnes and I are going to be focusing on visiting with our three children and three grandchildren more. We would like to start doing more volunteer work around the community, and I'm sure going for coffee with friends we have made just from being at the store."
