For the second consecutive year Modus Structures has earned a spot on Profit Magazine's Hot 50 list.
Modus ranked 41st in the 2008 list, a ranking of Canadian young businesses according to two-year revenue growth. In fact, Modus posted the second highest revenues in the list of emerging growth companies on the 2007 list. This is the ninth annual PROFIT HOT 50 list.
"So often, companies make the list the first year and not the next," said John Verhagen, CEO of Modus Structures. "Achieving the HOT 50 ranking the first time was an honour. Receiving it for the second time proves that we have a solid foundation and business
strategy, and are poised for greater growth."
Modus was the only modular accommodation manufacturer to make the PROFIT Hot 50 list this year, and they were one of only three companies in manufacturing.
"The PROFIT HOT 50 companies illustrate the ingenuity and vitality of Canada's entrepreneurial sector," said Ian Portsmouth, editor of PROFIT. "Anyone who wants to start or grow a business can draw much inspiration and many lessons from the HOT 50."
Earlier this year, Modus formally unveiled its new work force accommodation units and quickly landed a $54 million contract from Suncor Energy to provide 1,500 units for the Suncor Voyageur Upgrader Project in Fort McMurray. The units boast hotel grade
finishes, spacious rooms and energy efficient design.
