A trio of Contractors Safety Breakfasts will be hosted in the Southwest over the coming days in order to share an important spring safety message.
Safety Breakfast sessions are planned for Swift Current on April 2, Maple Creek on April 8 and Shaunavon on April 9 to remind companies to work safely around underground and overhead facilities. The message of Call Before You Dig and Look Up and Live will be shared by the Contractor Safety Awareness Association (CSAA), in partnership with the Saskatchewan Common Ground Alliance (SCGA).
Invited breakfast guests include construction workers, supervisors, business owners, rural municipalities, emergency responders and anyone who is associated in any aspect of ground disturbance or overhead lines.
Last year, nearly 4,500 workers from over 1,200 Saskatchewan companies attended the CSAA safety breakfasts across the province. The CSAA has been holding these free contractor breakfasts for the past 25 years in Saskatchewan and this year they will be hosting 29 sessions.
The Swift Current breakfast is hosted at the Palliser Pavillion at Kinetic Park, the breakfast in Maple Creek will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, while the April 9 event in Shaunavon will occur at Christ the King Catholic Church Hall.
