Southwest producers will have an opportunity to get some insight into the year ahead at the 2014 Grain Marketing Workshop in Swift Current on Jan. 30.
As part of a five grain marketing workshop series sponsored by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture, the Jan. 30 workshop is aiming to build on the success of last year's successful series of commodity marketing events.
Topics to be discussed at this year’s workshop are hedging, commodity trading, grain contracting and market outlook.
Speakers at the Swift Current workshop include: Regan Espeseth, Investment Advisor RBC Dominion Securities; John DePape, President of Farmers Advance Risk Management Co.; Greg Kostal, President of Kostal Ag Consulting; along with Shawn Skolney, Manager, Country Grain Marketing for Viterra.
The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Living Sky Casino. Registration fee is $25 and lunch is provided.
