Participating in the official ribbon cutting at Friday's grand opening of Knight Nissan in Swift Current were: Steve Mitchell - Dealer operations Manager, Nissan Canada (LEFT) and Al Watkins - Fixed Operations Manager, Nissan Canada (RIGHT) along with Knight Nissan staff members (L to R) Joel Courchaine - General Manager, Storm Dafoe - Reception, Terry Martens - Sales Professional, Travis Sigmeth - Finance Manager and Dave Chan - Sales Manager.
Swift Current's Knight Nissan held a formal ribbon cutting ceremony last Friday during their grand opening weekend at their South Service Road location.
The formal ceremony was held as Swift Current's newest car dealership hosted their grand opening during a two-day celebration.
"We're super excited," admitted Knight Nissan General Manager Joel Courchaine. "I think Swift Current's been wanting more selection over the last few years, as we're expanding with more population you get more selection…just to be able to add to their selection it's so exciting. And to make it official today is perfect."
Courchaine said that bringing the Nissan name to the Southwest is a perfect market fit.
"They have the most SUVs in a brand," he noted. "You and I both know that we need four by four in the Southwest with the weather. It's the perfect brand to have, good quality, lots of new stuff coming down the pipe. So we're really excited to be working hand in hand with the Nissan brand."
They have also made an effort to have a wide vehicle inventory selection on their lot.
"We decided to make a splash," he admitted of their sizeable inventory. "It's important that when you go on the lot that you're able to actually pick the colour you want. We're big on selection. There should be no need to travel afar to get the vehicle you need. We made the investment. We're dedicated. And we've got the staff to back it up. But more importantly we've got the selection to back it up."
With a staff of approximately 15 people, Knight Nissan boasts both a full sales and service department. Plus, thanks to their dedicated staff, customers are dealing with knowledgable sales people who can answer their questions immediately.
"We've been talking about that lots lately. It's one thing to have the product, but it's another to be able to explain how it's going to work and how it's going to benefit you in your day to day driving."
Courchaine notes that Knight Nissan, located at 1420 South Service Rd. E., is ideally situated just off the TransCanada Highway.
"This location works out so perfect, right off the highway, easy to get to," he said.
He welcomes customers to visit their location to see the quality vehicles they offer.
"Nissan is full force in Canada and they're having their best year ever and the price is competitive," he said. "When people walk into the showroom they'll see why right away that it's nothing like it used to be."
