“This year marks the 15th annual SCBEX Awards and after reviewing prior years, the Chamber felt too many stories were being kept ‘under the covers’. They are stories about innovation and doing things differently, about getting a competitive edge. Every day, we run into these stories, but we need to showcase them, share the pride...so we (The Chamber) have reviewed and improved the awards program of SCBEX. The Spirit of Swift Current - SCBEX awards shines some light on the great innovative things happening in the business community and honours business and not-for-profit organizations in Swift Current that have contributed to the vibrancy of our city through their innovation and entrepreneurship,” said Darla Lindbjerg, CEO of the Swift Current Chamber of Commerce.

“This year’s nominee finalists are an interesting combination of established businesses with proven achievement records and more recent enterprises that truly show the innovative nature of the latest generation of Swift Current entrepreneurs."

The public voting to help determine the category winners is now open, with votes able to be cast by contacting the Swift Current and District Chamber of Commerce.
