A Labour Day survey conducted by BMO shows a higher level of optimism when it comes to employees views about their company's hiring plans and prospects for growth.

The survey registered another jump in optimism, with 41 per cent of employees believing their company is growing and will be hiring, a jump of 13 percentage points from 2011.

"Over the past year we have seen an increasing number of companies show a willingness to look at how they can grow their business through making strategic investments in upgrading technology and processes, opening up new markets, and investing in their people," stated Cathy Pin, Vice-President, BMO Commercial Banking.
