The 70 employees of the Swift Current branch of Meyers Norris Penny are celebrating MNP being named one of the 50 Best Employers in Canada for the second year in a row.
“At MNP, we want our team members to succeed and are focused on creating an environment that allows for personal and professional success while upholding our firm’s culture and values,” said Al Lightfoot, Regional Managing Partner at MNP. “With over 70 team members in the Swift Current office, MNP is the largest accounting and business advisory firm in Southwest Saskatchewan. As such, MNP is committed to being an active member of the community through its involvement with various organizations including the Swift Current Broncos, the local Chamber of Commerce and providing scholarships to deserving individuals at Great Plains College. Receiving this recognition for the second consecutive year is truly an honour because it demonstrates that our own team members are identifying MNP as an employer of choice.”
The annual rankings are compiled by international human resources consultants Hewitt Associates and published in the Globe and Mail’s Report on Business magazine. MNP moved up in the rankings from the 45th spot to the 43rd position in this national award which rates Canadian organizations that have created an exemplary workplace environment. It is the only study where employees determine the best places to work in Canada.
Businesses are ranked according to the results of three separate surveys administered by Hewitt Associates. The results are determined primarily through employee survey responses. Another survey determines if the firm’s goals and fundamental values are aligned with opinions of our team members and a final survey assesses the human resources policies and practices.
“We are thrilled to be named one of the 50 Best Employers in Canada once again this year”, said Daryl Ritchie, MNP’s Chief Executive Officer. “MNP has experienced tremendous growth this past year. This award demonstrates that even as we continue to grow, we stay true to our culture and values and consistently finding new ways of engaging our more than 2,400 team members across Canada.”
