Letters to the Editor (The Southwest Booster)

Editor:

On the afternoon of May 3 we were blessed to participate in something extra special.

I wish to acknowledge the men and women of the Kiwanis Club for their amazing gifts of time, energy and kindness so eagerly given to the residents of the Palliser Regional Care Centre.

The friendly manner in which the many stations in the circuit of the Fun Olympics were set up and conducted simply cannot go unrecognized. Nor can the participation of the many students who volunteered to make the day even greater. You know who you are and we thank-you with words that can't begin to match how our hearts feel. We welcome the sweet faces of our community members with open hearts every day.

We'll also take this opportunity to thank a very special group of senior men who bring lively laughter and local news to us at coffee row every Wednesday morning. It's heartwarming to know that giving and receiving can be so simply...and mean so much.

on behalf of the residents and activity staff of the Palliser Regional Care Centre
